This exact thing happened to me too and if you're still feeling bad about yourself, let it go, it wasn't your fault. The guy is a jerk, he couldn't handle it because really, you deserve more than a guy like him.
Think of this as a good learning experience.

Having hope that he will be back again doesn't mean you are stupid, it's just because you really love him. Yes,it's hard to forget about him especially when you are alone in the dark, but no matter what, it's a fact. Life is never fair. And don't look for another boy to get him off your mind because you will regret being with the "replacement".
You could look for a very close friend whom you can trust and tell him/her how you feel. Don't be shy crying in front of him/her. You will certainly feel much better :)

I agree to the fact that you're not stupid. Everyone has to go through a couple broken hearts to get to where they are meant to be. Trust me, darlin, I lost my virginity to a guy that Ii thought was the one and come to find out he was just bout the biggest jerk there is.
Guys are hard to read sometimes even though girls are hard to read to guys don't really show all their emotions until its either to late or they just don't want those feelings to be there.
The reason that I say you have to go through a couple broken hearts is because I did and time after time, I put my whole heart into it and time after time, it got broken, then I was blessed with the gift from God the love of my life and I wouldn't change what I had to go through to get to him at all.
It's the road that was made to get to where I'm at now and if you try to change it, you will just be missing out on the one true thing in your life. THE ONE THAT IS TRULY MEANT FOR YOUR HEART TO LOVE!
