A Poem Called Love

I met this girl online who happened to live in the same town as me, and I've never been one to try and make someone mine fast, so we talked and got to know each other, hung out a fair bit, all the usual stuff people do as friends.
After about a year, I got the biggest text that I've ever received and it was from her. In it, she spilled out her heart about how she's had feelings for me for awhile and that she was too scared to tell me because she thought it would ruin our friendship. By the time I got to the end of the text, I was nearly in tears.
Her words were so beautiful & came directly from the heart.
Being a poet, I instantly thought of writing a poem, so I did and here's what came out:
A Poem Called Love
Through my heart, stop here with me,
It will feel like an eternity.
I know your heart was broken in two,
But I'm willing to try one last time with you.
Charred remains and ashes of black,
Dried up tears cannot be taken back.
Softly the wind whispers your name,
Our hearts unite and become the same.
I'm sorry this isn't a quote, this is just my story.
Oh and after she sent me that text, we met at night just to talk about a few things. I showed her my poem and we've been together ever since.
Happy endings do exist, but are hard to find.
