My Story:

As a Native American kid growing up in the southwest, I didn't have much but what I did have was passion and desire. I started Little League with an old glove and no baseball shoes. I was fortunate to have good coaches and teammates. I knew what I had to do.

I worked hard to became one of the top pitchers in the country and was a pre-season All American, who pitched a 5-hitter in the College World Series to help win the National Championship in 1970. Thirty-four years later, I was inducted into the American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame.
