And darkness fills my thoughts.
I’m trapped inside shattered memories.
My tears fall,
Creating an ocean of never ending worries.
Your face is fresh in my memory,
But the wound you left behind is fresher.
Your voice repeats like a broken record,
And I start to wonder if this will ever be for the better.
Inside this cave of dark sadness I lay,
Wishing for your hand to pull me back through.
I long for the light that will penetrate my darkness,
But the only light I want is you.
I long for your face to reappear,
But I’m not sure if I can make it stay.
So I collapse inside myself again,
Wondering if my wound will ever go away
