You try your best to hide,
The emotions tearing you up inside,
But fail because you can't smile:
Nothing seems worth the while.

When I walk down the street,
I remember you saying
That we would never fall,
Our love would be everlasting till the end.

Why did you not catch me?
You saw the pain in my eyes,
I cried till I forgot how to see anymore,
Singing love songs in the rain.

I danced gracefully in your arms,
Your arms were gentle, so I would not break
Finest porcelain remained unscathed,
Until I realized everything you had for me was fake.

Then you dropped me down beneath the waves,
Sinking far too deep into my grave.
I gasped helplessly, thrashing about,
But you did not listen to my desperate shout.

Crushed spirit and broken bones,
Trampled and scattered to places unknown,
Why did you not save me, hear my moan?
Because of you I lie, helpless and alone.
