Equivalent to a hug that feels just right. Your palm warm in mine, Night takes her sweet time. Right now the sky is a rainbow, Sun going down in a colorful show. We watch it together and I hear you sigh, We snuggle closer, just you and I; Happiness personified is right before your eyes. A breeze moves the trees and time sure flies The fire emits a soft crackle, pop! The wind picks up leaves, lets them drop The ebony sky is sequined with gold You're mine for now, forever, to hold. A full moon that's close enough to touch I lean into you, my warm, breathing crutch A beating in my ear that is my favorite sound Harmonious sighs, hearts that pound A million stars blink, and I send a prayer up above; Please keep a close watch over my love |
