He Doesn't Like Me Back

I've liked this guy for about 6 years and he knows I like him but he doesn't like me back. We used to be really close friends, but now he doesn't even say hi to me anymore. He avoids me a lot and I am lucky if he just glances at me and smiles. I just want to talk to him and ask to be friends again but I'm too scared to go up to him now.

I'm afraid that if his friends or girls who like him or whatever sees me talking to him, they might make fun of me or laugh at me or get mad. I really don't know what to do. Please help me get over him but still be able to talk to him too.
