He has a girlfriend and still flirts with me!

I met this great guy a couple of weeks ago. He's nice and funny, and we have a lot in common. He always seems to be looking my way, smiling or finding a way to talk to me about something. The problem is - I've found out that he has a girlfriend. He's even mentioned her once while we were talking!

Now I have no clue what to do. Should I try to be his friend, or completely back off? Is he really interested and doesn't know what to do or is he a player?

Please help!
