Heart Broken

I know a boy that i really liked but me and him were only friends. When he found out i liked him he was so nice and caring to me, he treated me like a princess even though he only liked me as a friend, he told me he liked me back to be a good friend. One day i asked him.. "should i smile cause we're friends or cry cause that's all we'll ever be" and he told me to always think positive. He always tried to convince me that everything was going to be ok whenever i had a fight with someone or if i was upset. We started having a few fights and he thought it was better if we stopped being friends cause whenever we fought i was always upset and crying. He made the right choice but i decided that i still wanted to be his friend whether we had fights or not. My friends started talking to him but he just said he wants to be my friend but he doesnt want to hurt me any more. It used to hurt so much seeing him with other girls, laughing and smiling but when he looked at me he just stared blankly as if he didnt even know me. But now we are friends again and whenever we have fights, we know that its gonna be over soon so we dont take it to seriously. I love him so much but he just doesnt love me back.
