How Do I Trust Him?

I really need an advice about my relationship... My boyfriend and I have been dating for 1 year now, and to tell you the truth, I really love him. But the problem is that I'm overseas doing my studies, and to be honest, he's to cute to be true. I've seen girls calling at him in front of me when I'm right there beside him. And the other thing is that while I'm here doing my studies, he never calls me, nor texts me or even writes to me. At times, I feel like he's just forgotten all about me.
