I Love Him, He Loves Her

There's this guy who came into my life a year ago. We were so close, it seemed like we already had a relationship. We are not committed to each other and are both single. We talk through Skype almost every night because I am in the Philippines and he's in London working as a nurse. (I'm a college student.) He came back here to the Philippines and still our communication was strong. He calls me every night and we talk about sweet nothings. He even told me that he liked me, but he didn't try to court me. One day, he stopped calling me. I just knew that he was courting somebody else. Did he just play with my heart? The"love is in the air" thing between us seemed so real...what happened? He said he likes her, and he likes me...I can't understand him. Now it's clear to me that he likes her more. She's talented and pretty. I'm only pretty and smart. Until now, I still like him.
