I Love Lucy Quotes ... I Love Lucy quotes chronicle the career of the hilarious and vivacious comedianne, Lucille Ball, who was successful on t.v., in the movies and on radio. Her television show I Love Lucy which made her famous, was on the air from 1951-1957. Her husband on the show, Desi Arnaz, was her hubby in real life, the father of their two children and the show's producer. Everybody knows him for the lines he used when coming home from work, "Lucy, I'm home!" and whenever she was in trouble, "Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do." Lucille Ball's later television shows, Here's Lucy and The Lucy Show were popular, but not nearly as successful or memorable as the one that made her famous.
