It's a Place Where Pets Go
by Cynthia C. James

There is a home in heaven, I have come to believe
For kitties and puppies, and hamsters and bunnies
For the cute furry creatures, in our hearts we have let
for a short while reside, more than just pets.
It's a place where they go when they leave us behind
It's a place like no other, it's one of a kind
It's a real place in heaven, so lovely so dear
No harm and no danger, no fear and no tears.
Around and around, they can run, they can play
They can do anything, and be merry and gay
On the green grasses near the sweet stream they may lay
in the new lovely home where forever they'll stay.
For I love you, my sweeties but Someone loves you more
And He'll be your new friend and loves you to the core
And I must let you go now for to Him you belong
And let Him cuddle you all day and all night long.
And my dear furry friends, you'll be finer be better
For you've reached the new home much faster much sooner
In a much better place you have finally found solace
Next to His loving breast, in His arms, His embrace.
