Just Say "I love you"
by Kaila Calzarette

I sit here, waiting for that call where I pick up
and hear your voice, telling me you love me, but time goes by and so do your girlfriends, my phone rings—it's not you, my heart drops. Then as I sit here crying, my heart screaming your name, while my mind is saying "Forget him, you don't need him." Darkness creeps in and I sit here alone, waiting for that call from you saying, "I've realized I don't like any of them other girls. I love you". Until that day I will be sitting here everyday, or sitting in my room wondering what I did wrong. When I tell my friends, they say forget him. Why is this so hard? But I will wait.
I really liked this boy. He broke my heart so I wrote this poem based on how I used to feel about him.
