Leave Boyfriend or Wait It Out

I love my boyfriend (he can be the best boyfriend in the world), but lately, he has been talking to me in a very disrespectful way and being a real jerk. Every time I say it's over, I find myself missing him too much and we get back together.

What should I do?

It seems he has already decided that it is over. The choice has been made.

Don't reward behavior you don't want
by: Anonymous

If he is disrespecting you, you should let him know that's not going to work for you. If you have already done this and gone back to him that tells him that he can do this and you will come back.

You have to teach people how to treat you. He might not decide to treat you right but you have to make a stand if you want to have a healthy relationship because it could escalate to other things. Also remember if he can't see that you are a queen and need the highest respect, someone else will get it.

Love yourself. You need respect all the time, not some of the time, because you're beautiful inside and out. How do I know? Because you want to stick by someone who isn't even deserving. God Bless You!

Honest feelings
by: Anonymous

If he's acting different, then you should talk to him and tell him your honest feelings. If you love him, be willing to work things out. When you open up to him and he can't give you the same respect as you did approaching him, then you should take a break.

But you really need to be honest with him. Don't go at him in a snotty way, but in a compassionate way. If he's been treating you like crap, you never know what he might be going through. If he can't open up, then take a break. You need to know your value, don't settle for less.

Do what your heart tells you
by: courtney

First I think you should do what your heart tells you, but I would end it. There are other guys out there that would die for a nice girl like you and treat you right.

Get at me dawg.

Suck it up and break away. You deserve better than that. This is his mistake.

"LOVE YOURSELF"
by: Penny

You said it "c-ya"! When will these young ladies understand...the way it is, is the way it will be.

Stop giving your self worth away and carry yourselves with dignity. There was a record out that says, "I can do bad all by myself." LADIES STAND UP and stop letting males walk all over you. RESPECT YOURSELF!

Disrespect
by: Anonymous

If he's not respecting you, then good riddance! No RESPECT now means no RESPECT in the future.

Don't sell yourself short. You are a WOMAN whether he wants to treat you that way or not! He should speak to you with kind, loving words at all times.

Love Yourself
by: Penny

What means more to you? Being disrespected, treated like a jerk (his display of how he feels about you) or respecting yourself? Being lonely as you wait on someone that will respect and treat you like a person with feelings is better than tolerating this psychological and emotional abuse.

You are teaching him that he can treat you this way by accepting it from him all because he can be the best boyfriend in the world and when you're separated, you long for him.

Take a good look at yourself and if you like what you see wait it out!

Leave Him
by: Anonymous

Sweetie, if you stay, he is going to keep doing the same thing because he has you thinking that you can't get anybody else. If I were you, I'd leave him where he stands.
