Long Distance Relationship in College
I went out with my ex boyfriend for about 6 months and he was my first love. First i'll start off by saying the way we met was completely random. We met at a college party at my school, but he did not go to my school, he went to school a couple of hours away. And when we were at home, we were still long distance about an hour and a half.
Once the summer came around, he told me that at the end of the summer when he went back to school, he needed to be single because he couldn't do the long distance because we were so young and needed to experience college to the fullest, but that he loved me and wished that it would work out.
We kept seeing each other sporadically when we could during breaks or sometimes during school, but every time we were together, it was as if we were still a couple. He also tells me that I am perfect but it just won't work right now, but once we get out of college, it could work.
It is such a difficult situation because he says that he loves me and wishes things could work out and we could be together, but he just can't right now, but he always makes grand gestures to see me and travels 6 hours or 3 hours randomly which is why I really don't understand and don't know what to do.
I am scared to just walk away because I am scared of losing him, but I feel like I need to take that risk. Also let me add that this confusing relationship we have has been going on for about 2 years. Any advice?
