looking for spiritual partnership

Hi Laura. Spiritual compatibility is very important to me in a relationship. I've been married for over 20 years but now my wife and I are on totally different pages spiritually. She's a fundamentalist Christian and I'm new age. We can't communicate any longer on that subject or any other because the way we look at the world and live our lives is totally different. We talked about getting a divorce in July, which seems like a good time for us since the house will be paid off then. We have a daughter age 13 who's pretty confused about the whole thing especially because her family keeps telling her that I'm in the wrong for wanting out because it's always best to stick it out and make it work. I don't see it that way. I think one of life's major lessons is to find someone you resonate with and nothing helps a couple resonate more than spiritual compatibility. I've had a few long distance relationships... sometimes romantic mostly just spiritual friends, who agreed with me on that and helped me see that I deserve the kind of relationship I want and should not settle for anything less. I have a feeling that once I'm out of this marriage in July I'll begin finding women I resonate with who are potential spiritual partners and they won't live far away... they'll be local to me.
