Lost Cause

You've probably heard this story a million times, the typical love at first sight, never more than a friend story. He was amazing, everything I needed. Walked in on the first day of school, and I swear it was love at first sight. The more I "watched" him the more I lost courage to talk to him, finally I did. Of course by that time, any chance I had with him was gone. He had fallen for my best friend. However she was dating someone. I tried to talk to him, for a freaking year and a half. He finally went out with her. In fact he was the best boyfriend ever. I cried myself to sleep every night for that boy. I begged my best friend (He's a guy) who is also his best friend for advice. I told him how much I hated it, to listen to the guy you liked told you how much he loved some one else, his response was I do. I've finally gotten over him and fallen for my best friend, which honestly isn't a bad thing. Cause he loves me too.
