It's hard to tell. Maybe he likes you or maybe he just likes that you like him. Perhaps he was embarrassed by your admission (but don't feel bad about expressing your feelings). Only time will tell.
A lot of people have difficulty expressing how they feel. This guy may be shy, unsure or even be a bit confused. The best way to find out the truth is to learn how to read his body language, but even then, he may be unwilling to admit the truth.
