He clearly cares about you with all his heart. He is making a very brave and noble decision to go to the Army. I have plans for the Marines after I am done with my education and have a girlfriend that i plan on marrying. We have talked about it a lot. Just sit down and talk to him and tell him how you feel. Besides, basic training is like 8 or so weeks and he can write you. Then he will be back and you can be together.

Love and The Army by: Anonymous
Well, I think if you really care for each other and are willing to wait then Im sure the distance will only bring you closer. But once your in there's no cheating or sending letters or texts breaking up its only fair that you tell each other face to face exactly why it can or cant work. You could never say your wasting your time waiting for someone when the love involved is true and you can never find this out if you don't take the chance. The Movie 'Dear John' Is a lot like your situation.
Its a great love story. I hope It works out for both of you..x

Well, I have a lot to compare to you and your story. I also have plans for the military and such. And I wonder about it several times a day, "how will she feel?" I don't know. But it's gonna suck as I can imagine.
Why do boys go to war? Or why do they leave like such? I don't know. Power? Adrenalin? The thought of heroism over a man and watching people do the unthinkable? I don't know.
