Love and the Army

This guy I was seeing said he liked me. So we started having a thing, but then out of nowhere he just stopped talking to me and I got angry like any girl would.

On Sunday, I saw him at work at Taco Bell and I thought he wasn't working that day so I went inside and he's at the cash register. I freaked.

Later, he texted me. I didn't recognize the number because I deleted it when he stopped talking to me. So he texts me, "Hey how are you doing?" I wanted to know who was texting me. He said, "It's Zack. We need to talk." I was like, what about. He said, "I'll call you later." I was like umm..... okay.

He ends up texting me and says, "Babe, we need to talk. The reason why I dropped us talking was because I didn't want to hurt you if we started anything because two weeks after I graduate high school, I'm going to basic training for the army. I'm sorry but I didn't want to hurt you, so I figured that you being pissed off at me would be better than me breaking your heart because I care for you. I want us but that was the only way I knew not to not hurt you because either way, it would have happened and last Sunday when I saw you, it killed me."

I don't know what to say...
