Love & Castism

Me and my guy have been in a relationship for a long time: 9 yrs. We both want to marry. His family agrees. My mom does not agree but my mom knows that I'll marry only him. The reason is castism. We are inter-religious and also inter caste.

I am christian and he is Hindu. Secondly, I am a post graduate working girl and he is not enough educated. My mother says he is not up to my standards but I love him and want to be with him forever.

I have make a commitment to him. I want to fulfill it. Please tell me what should I do? How do I convince my mom?

Please, please advise me.

Honey, if you love him, you must first ask yourself HOW MUCH you love him. Then consider if you are IN LOVE with him. Despite what you THINK you know, you may not actually be in love with him, but just want to please him. There is a difference. Then turn to your religion. Ask God what he has in store for your relationship with him. Please do not listen with biased ears. Otherwise, asking would be moot.

I am not much of an expert and I think you should know that...

I also want to add that your mother would be happy for you if she sees you happy with him.
This may take time, but it will eventually happen.

Good Luck Dear!
