Enter the Love Video Contest and you could win an iPod Nano®. The contest is open to aspiring and experienced videographers alike. Entries will be accepted from December 5, 2007 at noon PST to January 15, 2008 at noon PST. First prize is an iPod Nano, second prize is $50, third prize is $25 and 5 Honorable mentions will receive a LauraLuvv T-Shirt. The subject of your video can be a boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, life partner, child, parent, relative or friend. It's about honoring that special person in your life who makes you feel loved.

Love Video Tribute Contest Rules
Watch the video which explains the contest and many of the rules (make sure you also read this entire page so you understand the submission guidelines and how your entry will be judged.
Subscribe to the Laura Love YouTube Channel (if you don't have a YouTube account, you'll need to open one - it's easy and it's free.) To subscribe, go my channel Ask Laura Love, scroll down to where you see all the thumbnails of the videos and select "Subscribe to Laura Love's Videos."
Shoot a love video and edit to a maximum length of 3 minutes (strictly enforced) about the person you love (as stated above, this can be a spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, life partner, child, teacher, parent, etc), who they are, what makes them special, what they do to make you feel loved and what you do to show your love in turn. You can include footage, photos, graphics, a montage, sing a song you wrote to them ... whatever allows you to express your feelings and pay tribute to the person you cherish. All content must be original: do not use music or footage in your video that is the copyright of other artists. Your video should be creative, interesting and a unique expression of love for this special person, but it must also include the following four elements to qualify for the contest: 1) tell us who your loved one is (first name only is sufficient), 2) what makes this person special, 3) what they do to make you feel loved and 4) how you show your love in turn.
Once your video has been uploaded as a video response, YouTube will give you an embed code. Return to this page and submit your entry using the form below. Give your video a catchy title and an interesting description including all four elements above in the description box below and then also paste the embed code in the box. You can also upload a photo where prompted. Provide your name and location and then submit your entry.
Video submission will not appear immediately because they will first be screened. Videos that do not make the cut because they defame someone, are not relevant to this contest or are hurtful in any way, will be disqualified. Once your submission has made it past the screening, it will be posted on its own page on my site.
Once your video has been posted, you will receive an email with the link to the tribute page. Invite your friends, family and colleagues to comment on and rate your video. Although videos will be judged for quality, content, creativity and adherence to contest rules and guidelines, positive comments and rankings will contribute to your overall score and could inch you ahead of the competition.
Winners will be announced on February 14. First prize is an iPod Nano, second prize is $50 and third prize is $25. Five runners-up will receive a LauraLuvv tee-shirt. Of course, everyone who enters wins because on Valentine's Day, you can send a link to your loved one with your video tribute to him or her, so be sure to keep this a surprise for February 14. Who knows how many hugs, kisses this will bring!
By submitting your entry, you agree to all the rules and guidelines on this page. In addition, you agree to keep your video posted on YouTube, so I can continue to display it on my site for as long as my site is live. You also agree that your video can be used for promotional purposes now and in perpetuity.
