Love Your Best Friend

What would you do if you love your best friend? Would you tell him or would you keep it a secret for as long as possible? I kept it a secret for 6 months and when I finally had the courage to tell him, he turned me down. He said we could never be more than friends.

That night, I cried myself to sleep, and then I kept waking up because I had dreams about him. The next day, I walked past him at school and had all my lessons with him. Normally, we talk and mess around, but that day he ignored me all day, he moved places away from me in all his lessons.

It kills me inside to know that he doesn't love me, but it kills me even more when he ignores me. I can cope with the heart break, but not with him ignoring me.

I know that it's a bit awkward, but I don't want to lose our friendship. I miss our stupid phone conversations and our silly little notes.
