Loving you is like a dream I never wanted to wake up from
I loved you like I have never loved anyone before
You made me feel like I was a precious piece of gold
I gave you my heart
I trusted you not to break it
We held hands
Told each other stories
Made promises we thought would never be broken
Adults kept saying it's not love
It's puppy love
I got butterflies just hearing your voice
If I wasn't with you, I'd be thinking about you
If I wasn't emailing you, then I would be talking to you

...

Then the love I was scared to give away was gone
I cried for days
Didn't eat for weeks
Just shut down
I was drowning in my own tears
I started to hate everything
All I wanted to do was be yours again
Just wanted one more day with you
But I knew it wouldn't happen
Even though we aren't together anymore
I ask myself was it really the long distance
Or were you just falling out of our love?
