Loved and Lost

As the new kid at my school, I was surprised I fell so fast. I saw him in the hallway and decided to get to know him. At first, I couldn't stand him. He was very cocky and hard to get along with, but then he changed. I saw I side of him that was truly amazing. He hides behind the cocky facade. Behind it he was really sensitive and sweet. That was the part I fell for.

I began talking to him more and fell deeper. It really seemed that he was beginning to fall for me too, so I decided to tell him how I felt. His reply was that he didn't feel the same. I was crushed.

However, a couple of days later he told me that he was afraid to tell me, but that he did have feelings for me. With new-found joy I fell even deeper.

A couple of days passed, he gave me hugs like a guy who truly cares for you, but it didn't last. He stopped talking to me for a day so I asked him what was wrong. He said he didn't think he had feelings for me anymore. He said that he wanted to get back with his ex, he wanted to fix things with her.

I have never cried so much for a guy. Even though it didn't last very long, I felt the worst kind of rejection ever.
