I'm 13 and I have been in love with the same guy since 3rd grade. I know that sounds so stupid since I'm young, but I am. We have been best friends since he was 8 and I was 7. Our families are really close so they talk about it all the time. (Talk about embarassing). We have both been told that we can't date until high school, so we don't mess up our friendship. Right before my 13th birthday, I went shopping with one of my friends so we could find something to wear for my party. After we were done shopping, my mom took us to dinner and I told her how much I liked him. (His name is Matt), so she knew. Well little did I know that the day before my birthday, he would ask her out, and she would say yes. I wanted to call her and say don't come to my party. I was a wreck. I mean how could she do this to me?! It broke my heart, because this wasn't the first time she has done this to me. Finally, about a week ago they broke up and I couldn't be more happy. But almost every girl in 7th grade likes him, so I know I don't stand a chance, but I guess I would rather have him as a best friend, than nothing at all. and i get to sleep over at his house alot... but it sucks. and he knows i like him... so it's weird! but we always hang out. and i love that.
