Love's Mistake

So, he got what he wanted.

Im dead, and he's alone.

I fell in love, and was ripped apart,

I guess I learned my lesson:

Never fall in love,

You get your heart ripped out,

Shredded to pieces,

Stepped on,

And burned.

Then, when he "fixes it",

He does it all over again.

You take him back for the third time,

And he plays it safe.

Tries not to break you another time,

Tries to keep you unharmed from himself.

He's realized his mistakes,

But did he learn from them?

He will end up doing everything all over again,

Without even meaning to.

Breaking your heart for the last possible time,

Breaking all the trust that you shouldn't have given him,

Breaking everything you two had together,

Breaking your very soul.

Turning you into a depressed child of Love,

Making you wish you never met him.

Leaving you alone, dying from heartbreak.

Making sure that you're left with nothing,

Tossed aside once more,

Watching him suffer from the pain

Of losing you for the last time.

He can never get you back.
