Lower Class Boyfriend

I love this guy, he is my everything, and he is really shy and sweet he likes to hide behind his hair and my mom thinks that he is bad because he likes to hide behind his hair and he hardly ever talks, but I love him. She said that he was lower class than me and I could never date or marry someone who is lower class than me. She has a football player guy she wants me to date. I'm kind of a punk though and I would rather be at a slipknot concert than a football game, but I do love my mom and I want to respect her. No one understands how much I need this boy. He is so amazing, and he understands me because i used to cut but because of him, I stopped cutting and now I want to enjoy life. My mom says I'm higher class but he makes me smile and he helped me out of cutting so I think he's higher class than me. What should I do?
