muslim and catholic in love

i have been loving him for about 1 year now.. at the beginning we were only friends but later it as grown to a serious love.. we never have met.. but only contacts and know each other well.. but he is a strong Muslim and im catholic.. his parents are so strict with the religion.. but i cannot stop loving or give up... what must i do? im confused and always hurt...
