need help!

i have a bf and i also have a very close guy friend that walks me home and hugs me before i walk down the driveway.

i want to tell my bf about my friend so that he doesn't find out and think that i'm cheating.

all my friends say that i shouldn't tell him because he will take it the wrong way and that i should stay away from this friend.

what should i do, tell my bf and hope that he doesn't take it the wrong way or stay away from my friend and keep it to myself?
