I spoke to a minister recently and related how I needed his church moral support. He told me that no one he knew was going to lay down their life for another and that they couldn't be support other than I was welcome to come to church the next Sunday. Yet I remember the scripture that tells us that no greater love hath anyone than that they do this very thing, to lay down his life. What does this mean? When someone is down in health, and can't "give" will you still give of yourself? Will you love without expecting anything in return? No strings attached, not an IOU- that you expect something when they are doing better? That is my understanding- you may have other ideas....
