Not enough time with Boyfriend

by Alyssa Landas
(Pensacola FL)

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 7 months and we are both in high school. Our only problem is that we only see each other on the weekends, and it's tough not being able to see him every day. I'm going to start playing sports soon and he will be getting a job and thats going to suck even more. What do you suggest?

Take it slow

I would concentrate on getting the best grades I could and being the best southpaw softball pitcher that I could so that someone will pay for you to attend their college.

And make sure that your Boo is doing his best at work and that he will do what it takes to provide a real future for you if that is to be.

Actions speak best where words may fail.

You guys will make it

My boyfriend and I are in the same school. We both have our own friends, so we actually only 'see' each other outside school. He trains three times a week, that leaves Monday, Thursday and Friday for me. He applied for some job today, willing to work on Wednesday and Saturday.
Leaving only Tuesday and Sunday to do something else.

Next to training and his upcoming job, he also needs to spend time with his family, he needs to make homework ... So what's left?

Of course, my situation is different than yours. I wish to see my boyfriend more as well though.

What would help a lot is:
- try to involve your partner into the plans you make or have.
- let the other person know you'd be with him or her if you could.
(I don't always have the idea he wants to spend time with me, I think he'd put up a lot of more effort if he'd really wanted to see me.. I think.
See! Doubts! Wrong!)
- make time for each other every once in a while.
- stay positive.

Your hubby's doing a great job, I really like his comment. Good luck to you guys.

Bit off-topic:
Oh dear boyfriend, please accidentally find this.

I love you Boo

No matter what Sweetheart, we will make it through all of our problems and get past all this. I know times are hard right now, but we will get through all of this mess. Just think, before you know it, it will be our 1 year, it's already 8 1/2 months Baby! I love you Alyssa, and I forever will!

Long-Distance Relationship Advice

I understand how you feel. My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 9 months, and he recently left to go to college over 3 1/2 hours away. Because I am still in high school, we only get to see each other about once every three weeks or so. My only advice is to stick with it. We talk on the phone several times a day and chat online whenever we can. We are going to hook up a webcam soon, which will make things easier. And, of course, we plan out his visits home far in advance so we have something to look forward to. If it's meant to be, you will stay together and everything will work out fine. Good luck!

Not enough time with your boyfriend

Theres not much to do really..
I know that doesn't sound good, but you're both doing your thing.
I would try to hangout with him as much as I could and call him when he's home doing nothing. Hang at lunch or during class if you're in the same classes.
You could also study together.
