She waits; she’s beyond the stars now
But forever falling.
Nothing can touch her, she’s slipping away,
In and out of consciousness, the pain is inside.
She cries for someone to cut her heart out,
To stop the stained love, tinting her body
So the shards of a broken heart won’t spread.
The hospital trolley turns a corner,
Crashing as it speeds along the empty corridor
Reality returns.

What did she do? For the pain to come like this
There’s not enough time left
She looks down to find her heart really is broken
A knife between the rips
She goes to lift a hand
But she is already gone
She had been from the moment the boy turned his back
She was lost
A soul forever weeping

She only wanted one thing. She wanted him
