Our Teenage Years
by Rene Hope Pearsall
(New York)
I'm still a teenager
Everyone has changed
We grew up somehow
That was then, this is now
We can’t take back the mistakes
We seek that thrill
We are both mature and immature
Adolescence, there’s no cure
It’s a time to live and learn
We have all messed up
In one way or another
At least we have each other
We have to just learn to laugh it off
We think we are unstoppable
Its why we act how we act
It’s a well know fact
We’ll grow out of it, so just be patient
This is the best and the worst time of our lives
Live everyday like we’re dying
Don’t give up, just keep on trying
So live it up and enjoy the ride
