Pain I feel

I walk by him every day,
expecting him to at least say hi,
but he walks by staring back at me,
and I hope he can't see
all the pain I feel for him,
wishing he could be mine,
and mine alone.

I only wish he would confront me,
so the pain I feel
that longs for him
would disappear,
but I'm worried.
Worried that he doesn't understand
How much I long for him,
and how much I am afraid
he doesn't like me.

The pain I feel for him
Is just too much.
