promises

I met a guy who is cute and respectful...that's why I fell for him. He likes me as well. He courted me for almost one month. I really like him so I said yes.

I'm really happy that I met him. Time has passed and the like has turned to love. He has to go away because he will study in Pili, Bicol. It's ok because we still have a connection.

I was really happy but after a month, my mother found out about it and she got mad and said that if she ever sees my boyfriend, she will hurt him.

I got scared because like I said, I'm in love with him, so to protect him, I sent him a text that said, let's break up ... I don't like you anymore. It really hurts, but it's the only way I can think for him not to get hurt by her.

He said on the text that he really loves me, that he doesn't want to let go of me but I said that if he really loves me, he has to let go of me. (I was crying while texting this.)

Finally, he said go but remember this, you will always be in my heart. I hope that he's keeping his promises because before he goes to Pili, we promised to each other that we will always love and never forget each other, but I think he has already forgotten me!

I am not letting myself fall for someone else until he says that he forgot me and our promises. Once that happens, I will allow love to enter my heart again.

By the way, I'm not angry at my mother because she has a point: I am too young, I was only 14 years old when I met him.
