Relationships are confusing

I was "talking" to this guys for about 3 months before we actually dated officially, he asked me out on my birthday(: everything was great and I was so happy. This guy we can call him Jon (name changed for privacy). Jon was really corny you could say and it was cute at first but I got really annoying. So I broke up with him. At first I thought it was the right choice, and it was but the school year went on and I started to miss him. And then before I knew it, the school year was over and it was summer and I was gone out of state for the most of the summer. Then I got back it was my freshman year of high school and I always saw him talking to all these pretty upperclass (older) girls.

I got really jealous and so one day I texted him and told him how I felt and how I wanted to try dating again. He told me he hadn't really thought about it but I could tell he was just saying that to be nice and that he didn't really want to get back together. I was so devastated.
