Still In Love with My Ex But He is Taken

My ex boyfriend has a girlfriend. I didn't find out that he was in a relationship until he texted me to tell me that he had been dumped. He was upset because he felt like he was paying for what he had done to me, and that he wanted me to know that I got my payback.

I told him that it was going to be okay and to take care of himself. Then the next day, he texted to tell me that it was all a misunderstanding and that they were back together.

I told him I was happy for him. I told him to treat her right. I want to be happy for him because I want to see him happy. I love him!

But what surprised me is that when he thought he was dumped, he told me that he didn't know what he wanted anymore. How am I supposed to handle this information?

I love him and I still desire him. I miss him. But I want him to be happy, even if its not with me because what I feel for him is genuine love.
