Taking it Slow

So this guy and I have liked each other for about two years. But he got with a girl from my year in the holidays and then at school social, and I got a boyfriend (last year), both of us ended it with them though so now we are both totally available.

He asked me if I wanna hook up at his friend's party, I said no because I don't hook up with people. If I'm gonna kiss a boy it will with someone I'm in a relationship with.

Despite the fact I rejected him, both of us never brought it up again. He still continued to like me though. How did I know he liked me? He looks at me all the time, sometimes even stares, compliments me, his friends nudge him and look at me sometimes, he gets jealous when it comes to other guys, etc. Oh and he told his friend he liked me.

So now its nearly end-of-year holidays and I don't particularly want school to end without us being boyfriend and girlfriend. It's not as if I'm in a rush to go out with him because I'm not! But whose to say he won't find someone else? Or lose interest in me altogether?

So that's why I got someone to tell him on MSN that I liked him. He didn't really say much. Then I asked him if he got told etc and he kept trying to get me to tell him myself so I eventually did and felt hopeless because all he said was "ok." I told him I'm tired of playing games and he was acting all confused as if he didn't know what I was saying.

Then I asked him if he liked me and he blocked me!

It didn't really surprise me, because here's a guy who doesn't know how to explain his feelings, he is a shy one.

Then I was at school two days after and my friend and I were sitting down on the bench outside and she was facing him and his friends and I was facing her. She told me him and his friends were looking at us and the guy I like was looking at me grinning. Then during the exam he sat near me and looked at me a few times.
As I walking out and laughing with my friend he was looking at me.

But now things are just going slow, because he hasn't asked me out. Maybe its because he doesn't wanna go out with me (Despite the fact he likes me) or maybe its because he wants to find the right time, or maybe he's thinking about it.
Either way we are both taking our time and I know that when we do go out it will be very promising because we started off as friends and now here we are!
