Tears Like Fire

Tears, they burn like fire, and yet you're
still my desire...there's something in your
eyes, something's wrong.

Suddenly my chest tightens, I can't breathe..
afraid...afraid of what's about to happen,
of what you're gonna say.

My eyes full of fear, searching yours desperately..
I watch your lips, those words...they sting.

Pain fills my chest, the venom spreads through
my body...my world suddenly stops spinning,
nothing around me matters anymore.

I'm frozen, dead on my feet..
your words play in my head, over, over, over again.

My heart is broken, destroyed.
My tears, they burn in my eyes like fire,
and yet...you're still my only desire.
