the facade
by chantel williams
(clarendon jamaica)
lost in a facade, dimming away in pain and regret,
cast in the shadows of insanity,
but for the first time, i'm not alone.
as you hold my hands, my fears fade,
my strength reappears and the shock waves of your
gentle, yet powerful touch regenerates me,
helping me to move on.
then a realisation hit: there was no one there,
it was just a fragment of my imagination.
