"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want" (Psalm 23:1).

by Christine
(Maple Ridge, BC, Canada)

I really love this bible quote. What it means to me is that no matter what happens or what you receive in your lifetime, the LORD our God will be by our side; he will guide us as a lighthouse during the rough waves life can bring. We shall only want Him. And for this gift, and the gift of life that he has given, nothing else in this world can fill us more than God's grace.

We shall live by the word of God, and not by our own wants and needs. I practice this bible quote by trying to live the way God intended me to, but sometimes it's hard because you want things in life that may or may not be good and this can be distracting to what our purpose is. If we live by God only, and not for ourselves, God's will for us will be shown as a path for us to follow. We are all a part of God's plan and even when we feel unwanted, God has a special purpose for us. We just have to turn to Him and listen.
