The One

There once was a girl who never believed in love. She thought it was silly even though she saw it every where she went, she could never escape it.

One day, there was a knock at her door. As she went to open it she heard the most wondrous voice she had ever heard. A scribe was there to tell her that she was invited to the castle so she got dressed and put on her finest jewelry. As she was getting ready, she heard the voice again. This time it was louder.

She hurried outside to see where it was coming from. To her surprise, it was coming from the man in the mask posing as the king's servant to take her to the castle. She was disappointed because she thought it was the prince that she had been interested in.

Finally, when they arrived at the castle the prince emerged and demanded that the girl come to his room. She agreed on the terms that he would not try anything funny. So off she went. The prince started to sing and she knew right away that it was he who had been about her house with the wondrous voice. She stood there astounded.

He approached her carefully but she just laughed. He said, "Why are you laughing?" She said, "Because it's silly." Then the prince replied, "What is so silly, if I may ask?"

"Its just that since I was a little girl, I have never believed in love except in storybooks and fairy tales."

The prince was determined to make the girl believe in love. He approached her once again and as she thought that the prince was going to kiss her, he said, "Dance with me." She danced with the prince and saw that he was special, quite different than any man she had ever seen or heard about.

She leaned in to kiss him but as she did the prince stopped her and said, "I thought you didn't believe in love."

The girl replied "I was wrong ... I do love you, prince."

He whisked her in his arms and got down on one knee then asked the girl if she would marry him and become the future queen in hopes that they would be together forever ruling with love, loyalty, and wisdom.

She gratefully accepted and off they went to enjoy the best, most wonderful, cherishing days of their lives and they lived happily ever after THE BEGINNING.
