The Truth

some people say the truth will set you free.
a lie will get you a lot of turmoil and pain
and make you suffer and suffer all over again.

i know the score for i have been at pain's door wishing that it wasn't true,
a lie and all of the things that pain will do.

a broken heart in reality isn't true
i've never seen one, have you?
so why does it hurt so bad?
and how come it makes you so mad?

it tears at your very soul,
lingers on like the sun and rain,
yet still delivers so much hurt and pain.

she said, i'll always be true,
but those were words she could not do,
i'm sure that you all have run into this before, so don't let the lie ruin you.
