The Unknown Capabilities

I didn’t have time to heal. And now it all feels like a fantasy, Everything we went through wasn’t real. Do you remember the times I was there for you, Putting your needs before mine? Now my head is just filled with empty memories, Wasted, once sublime. I wanted to show you what love was, And our abilities to truly care, But now that you’re with her, I feel nothing but despair. "She" who is in no way right for you, But now I see that neither am I. I gave so much, and got so little in return, Except a heartache and a lie. A lie that has truly devastated my spirit, So far, unable to recover. The despicable way you’ve treated Not just a friend, but a lover. I keep telling myself I’m better off, Stronger then before, But how can I forgive and forget, Someone who’s broken my core. I hope you'll realize, someday The error in your ways, Your face brings up negativity, Feelings of anger and dismay. I hope you receive your karma, Eventually down the road All the pain you have given to me, I pray you are bestowed.
