You made me a promise.
You said you'd always be there.
You said I'd never hurt.
But here I sit staring blankly.
A knife in one hand
In the other is my blood.
Feeling numb, I say to you,
"You made me a promise."
You say simply, "Sorry."
I love you, but must let go
Because you broke your promise
and crossed the line.
