Waiting For Love

I was 12 years old when I first saw her and I realized that I had laid eyes on the most beautiful woman of all time. I approached her and she figured out my crush on her quickly. I didn't want her to know, but it must have been too obvious because she had it figured out right away.

Over the next 6 years we would have a great friendship but she would continually make it more obvious that she was never going to like me. Me being someone who doesn't give up on anything no matter how hopeless it may seem, never gave up hope and continued being there whenever she needed me. I watched her fall in love with another boy 5 years older than her and I read her Facebook statuses about her being in love and had my heart twisted and wrenched, but I still refused to give up.

After a 7 month relationship he just broke it off with her through an indirect Dacebook status. I then thought that it would finally be my chance to date her but another guy swept in and she chose him over me. She told me that it was time for me to move on, that she was never going to like me like I liked her, and that she wanted to but it's not something she could force herself to do.

One year ago I decided against my better judgment to attend her birthday party. I could tell she liked me from the first look because I had never seen this look in her eyes before. She looked at me like I was the cutest boy there and I didn't know what to think when she told me she liked me a week later. My heart had been broken so many times by her actions and now after all these years she was suddenly ready to start a relationship? It took me all but one month and then she gave me my first kiss.

Yes, I know, not kissing a girl for the first time until I'm 18 is quite strange but she's the only one I ever wanted to kiss and to this day is the only one I have ever kissed! Now we have confessed our love for one another and we are promised to be engaged someday soon! To all you guys being overlooked by the love of your life just hang in there! She will come around once she sees that your there for her more than any other guy is there for her.
