Want Him to Open Up

I've been with this guy for 3 and a half months. After liking him for 2 years, he's mine. However, this relationship isn't what I expected.

I want him to open up to me and talk about how we feel about each other. I hate to say this but, I wish he was all mushy and acted like I really mattered to him, instead of just talking to me like a friend.

I know he means well and is just being himself but, I wish he was different with me, more intimate, I guess. How do I get him to get closer to me and talk to me differently?

Wait For Him
by: MannLy RaVen

if you really care about this guy then I think you should be patient with him because he'll open up to you when he is ready. Wait for him to come to you. If he isn't ready then by pushing him, you could potentially damage your relationship.

Communication is Key
by: Ruby Star

First things first, If you haven't already, you need to communicate with him and tell him how you feel, and what you want. I have the same problem with my boyfriend, and we have been together for almost 6 yrs.

Some people just have problems with communication and intimacy and have the bad habit of not thinking to be romantic, physical, communicative, etc., even when they do love you. That's exactly what me and my boyfriend go through a lot, but he has currently started doing better & making more time for us and being more thoughtful & communicating with me.

If a guy has the bad habit of this, then it may take a while and maybe even require professional help for them to overcome it if it's causing lots of problems, but if you two are both willing to do what it takes and you care for each other enough, then don't give up on what you have.

This may not be your boyfriend's problem or he may not even realize he is doing it, or maybe doing it for a certain reason, but regardless of why, you need to talk to him about it, and both be honest with each other. I wish you the best of luck.
