I don't understand how I fell so hard,
I suppose it all started with that Valentine's card,
I thought it was sweet just like you,
So I went to the shops and brought you one too

And then I guess it was that red rose,
It brightened my day and banished my woes,
And I always thought it too good to be true,
That someone like me was being hit on by you

Then after that oh how could I forget,
You said you'd loved me since the day we first met,
But like I said it was to good to be true,
How the hell did I fall so hard for you?

Things just when bad from then on,
We were together for two weeks and then you were gone,
You left no note and no goodbye,
And for the next few days all I did was cry,
But as it happens this was waste of time,
Because as it turns out you were never truly mine.
